Important notes (Red Flags)
What a 0–15 score means
Symptom-density bands — not a diagnosis
| Score | Band | Meaning | What not to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0–4 | Not dense yet | Keep tracking; do not skip scalp red flags | Do not delay exams because of ads |
| 5–7 | Starting to recur | Plan dermatology review | Do not add capsules on your own |
| 8–10 | Clearly disruptive | Do not ignore — book dermatology | Do not use a quiz instead of clinic |
| 11–15 | High density | Check Red Flags now | Do not treat this as a diagnosis or ALOSOL order |
Frequently asked questions
Does this score mean I must take ALOSOL?
No. The 0–15 reflects shedding density — not a diagnosis and not a supplement order. ALOSOL is a dietary supplement, not a hair-growth drug.
What score should I not ignore?
8–10 is clearly disruptive; 11–15 is higher — both warrant dermatology, not more capsules. Patches, scarring, fever, or weight loss need care even if the total is low.
Can 2-week or 2-month ads replace a ~6-month evaluation frame?
No. S3 AGA frameworks evaluate topical minoxidil over about 6 months — not ad drain photos at 2 weeks. Item 3 compares duration to that frame.
Does the score name the cause?
No. Part 2 helps separate telogen after illness/birth, gradual genetic thinning, self-stopping medicines, and red flags — still not a diagnosis.
Can I stop minoxidil/finasteride for ALOSOL ads?
No. Supplement ads are not orders to stop prescribed medicines.
Is biotin enough if shedding is heavy?
Not as a substitute for evaluating iron/thyroid and dermatology when shedding is dense.
