Category: Gynecology > HPV / cervical screening
After a PCERV ad, can you skip Pap tests, HPV vaccine, or colposcopy?
No. Ads are not an order to skip screening, HPV vaccine, colposcopy, or LEEP. Red flags: post-coital bleeding, postmenopausal bleeding, foul discharge, pelvic pain, CIN2/3 or cancer — see a gynecologist now.
Red flags: when to see a clinician — not switch to a capsule
Bleeding after sex, postmenopausal bleeding, unexplained pelvic pain, foul discharge, fever, CIN2/CIN3 or cancer, a missed colposcopy visit, or pregnancy plus an abnormal screen — see a gynecologist now. Do not wait for a 6-month jar.
Management:
ASCCP management guidelines.
Screening:
USPSTF
and
NCI cervical screening.
- Bleeding after sex — not a reason to delay Pap
- Postmenopausal bleeding — assess; do not substitute a jar
- Unexplained pelvic pain, foul discharge, or fever
- CIN2 / CIN3 or cancer — a different layer from a supplement; see
HPV16/18 CIN1 to CIN3 and LEEP - Missed colposcopy, or pregnancy plus an abnormal result — do not wait on a jar
Teaching diagram: after an ad, which clinic layers stay in place?
The sequence below is a teaching diagram, not a Thai patient pathway and not an order to buy a jar.
If a clip says this capsule lets you skip a smear, HPV vaccine, or colposcopy, treat that as sales copy — not a clinic plan.
USPSTF does not recommend screening before age 21; ages 21–29 cytology every 3 years; ages 30–65 every 3 years or high-risk HPV every 5 years.
CDC: routine HPV vaccine at ages 11–12 (may start at 9), catch-up through age 26 — a jar does not replace a shot.
Teaching bars for screening intervals — not a license to skip Pap because of a jar.
Pap and HPV DNA — can a jar skip them?
No. USPSTF and NCI screening sit on a different layer from a supplement.
USPSTF cervical screening
and
NCI
set intervals: no screening before 21; ages 21–29 cytology every 3 years; ages 30–65 every 3 years or high-risk HPV every 5 years.
Lediiso PCERV does not close that cycle.
If the result is new, open
newly diagnosed HPV — exam steps.
HPV vaccine still matters while taking a supplement
WHO
and
CDC
place HPV vaccine on the cancer-prevention layer.
CDC: routine ages 11–12 (may start at 9), catch-up through 26.
A jar is not a shot and does not replace an indicated schedule.
This page uses “HPV vaccine” only — no commercial vaccine brand names.
Colposcopy and LEEP per ASCCP
If results point to colposcopy or excision, follow
ASCCP.
CIN1 with HPV16:
HPV16 and CIN1.
Higher CIN:
CIN1 to CIN3 and LEEP.

Layer comparison: HPV vaccine / Pap–HPV DNA / colposcopy–LEEP / natural clearance / PCERV
Left column is an option — right columns are a clinic frame, not a prescription and not an order to buy a jar.
| Option | Role | When used | Risk if skipped or swapped | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HPV vaccine | Prevents covered types | By age and history when indicated | Loses the cancer-prevention layer; a supplement is not a shot | WHO HPV fact sheet; CDC HPV |
| Pap / HPV DNA | Screens cells and persistent virus | USPSTF: 21–29 every 3 years; 30–65 every 3 or 5 years | Misses lesions that have no symptoms yet | USPSTF; NCI screening |
| Colposcopy / LEEP per ASCCP | Diagnosis and excision when criteria are met | Pap/HPV DNA meets criteria, or CIN2/3 | Delays excision; high CIN does not wait on a jar | ASCCP management guidelines |
| Watchful waiting / natural clearance 1–2 years (CDC) | Immune clearance in many people | With repeat testing — not instead of testing | Confuses CDC teaching with a pass to skip screening | CDC HPV about |
| PCERV (Lediiso supplement) | Dietary supplement | Read the label — not an order to skip clinic layers | Delaying Pap, HPV vaccine, or colposcopy because of a clip | Not a drug; no RCT of this SKU replacing screening |
Already taking PCERV — do booked visits still stand?
Yes. Pap, HPV DNA, HPV vaccine, or colposcopy visits are not cancelled by a jar.
If you finished about 6 months and are still positive, read the time frame at
Took PCERV for 6 months and still HPV-positive.
Italian papers cited in ads are not an RCT of this jar — read
Italian EGCG combo ≠ this jar.
Frequently asked questions
After a PCERV ad, can you skip a Pap test?
No. PCERV is a supplement and does not replace Pap screening per USPSTF (21–29 every 3 years; 30–65 every 3 or 5 years) and NCI. A 6-month ad is not an order to delay a smear.
If I take a supplement, can I skip HPV vaccine?
No. HPV vaccine sits on the WHO/CDC prevention layer. CDC: routine ages 11–12 (may start at 9), catch-up through 26. A jar is not a shot and does not close an indicated vaccine schedule.
If HPV is positive, can I skip a booked colposcopy?
No. If ASCCP points to colposcopy, capsules do not move the visit. A missed colposcopy is a red flag.
If I have CIN2 or CIN3, can PCERV replace LEEP?
No. CIN2/CIN3 sits on an excision or treatment layer directed by a clinician. A supplement is not a LEEP alternative.
If I bleed after sex, should I wait out a 6-month jar?
No. Bleeding after sex is a red flag. See a gynecologist. It is not an ad cutoff.
After menopause, if I bleed, can a supplement replace a work-up?
No. Postmenopausal bleeding needs cervix or uterus assessment. A jar does not close that work-up.
What if I am pregnant and the screen is abnormal?
See a gynecologist as scheduled. Do not wait out a 6-month jar course. A supplement does not replace a pregnancy-plus-abnormal-screen plan.
Can PCERV replace ASCCP follow-up?
No. ASCCP pathways manage Pap/HPV DNA results and colposcopy. Lediiso PCERV is a dietary supplement on a different layer.
Scientific mechanism (author synthesis)
Screening finds abnormal cells before symptoms. HPV vaccine lowers infection with covered types. A supplement occupies neither layer.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Norawit Raatpiboon
synthesizes that
USPSTF
and
NCI
set Pap/HPV DNA intervals,
ASCCP
sets colposcopy and excision when criteria are met, and
WHO
places HPV vaccine on the cancer-prevention layer.
Clearance in 1–2 years per
CDC
is not a pass to skip tests.
